Paul W. Bartel, II
Senior Counsel
Mr. Bartel is senior counsel in Davis Polk’s Litigation Department, who represents U.S. and non-U.S. companies in antitrust litigation and enforcement agency investigations. He is active in domestic and cross-border acquisitions and joint ventures that involve U.S. and European Community antitrust considerations.

  • Mr. Bartel’s other clients have included Emerson Electric Company, EMI, Imperial Chemical Industries, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Royal Caribbean and VF Corporation

Before joining Davis Polk, he was attorney-adviser to Commissioner Robert Pitofsky of the Federal Trade Commission from 1979 to 1981.
