Mr. Hawks is an associate in Davis Polk’s Corporate Department. Fluent in Japanese, he joined the Tokyo office in 2009. He focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions, where he has worked with Japanese companies in connection with investments in and acquisitions of U.S. companies, and capital markets, where he has worked with Japanese issuers in connection with the offering of securities in the United States. In addition, Mr. Hawks also regularly works with Japanese companies listed in the United States in connection with their respective SEC and exchange reporting obligations.
