Laureen F. Bedell
Senior Counsel
As a member of Davis Polk’s Corporate Department, Ms. Bedell focuses on insolvency law. She is the partner in charge of the global credit risk management practice. She advises international financial institutions on evaluating and structuring as to legal risks in cross-border derivatives, securities transactions and other complex financial transactions to ensure the enforceability of netting and collateral rights upon the insolvency of foreign counterparties. Ms. Bedell’s practice also includes representing creditors and debtors in major U.S. workouts, restructurings and bankruptcy reorganizations.
