Mr. Kapoor is a member of Davis Polk’s Corporate Department, concentrating in pan-Asian and U.S. M&A, corporate finance and restructuring/workout transactions. He represents clients in investments and exits around the world in both public and private companies and has extensive experience doing deals in United States, China, India, Hong Kong, Korea, Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and other countries. Mr. Kapoor is consistently recognized as a leading lawyer by legal publications such as Chambers Global, Chambers Asia and IFLR1000.

Mr. Kapoor also leads Davis Polk’s India practice.

Mr. Kapoor has worked on several transactions for private equity and hedge fund clients, including Corsair, Goldman Sachs, Greenhill, Tailwind, TPG-Axon, Metalmark, Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Fund, Morgan Stanley Principal Investments and Morgan Stanley Private Equity. His fund formation experience has included setting up hedge funds and private equity funds for Morgan Stanley, Old Lane, Perella Weinberg Partners and Aetos. These have included several funds focused on India.



Corporate Advisory

Mr. Kapoor’s experience has included advising on strategic, regulatory, corporate governance and director and officer liability issues for clients such as Altria, Comcast, CSG Systems, Limited Brands, Murphy Oil, Montpelier Re, Partner Re, Reliance Industries Limited, Mercantile Bankshares and Quest Communications.
