Mr. Sugiyama is an associate in Davis Polk’s Corporate Department. A native Japanese speaker, he joined the firm’s Tokyo office in 2006. He focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets, where he has worked mainly with Japanese corporations in connection with cross-border acquisitions and global securities offerings transactions. He also works with the Hong Kong office advising Japanese companies considering Hong Kong IPOs.
