Erika D. White
Counsel

Ms. White is counsel in Davis Polk’s Corporate Department. Her practice focuses on advising banks, broker-dealers and other institutions regarding credit risks involved in cross-border derivatives and other complex financial transactions, including the enforceability of rights to close-out, net and liquidate collateral upon a counterparty insolvency. Her practice also includes the structuring and documentation of collateral and other credit risk mitigation arrangements for a broad range of transactions, including fixed income, equity and credit derivatives, prime brokerage and secured financing transactions. Among the matters she has worked on recently are the development of cross-product netting and collateral platforms for financial institution clients.

Ms. White assisted in opening our Tokyo office in 1987 and practiced there until 1992. During her five years in the Tokyo office, she worked on a wide variety of transactions, including project financing and other credit transactions, securities offerings, and mergers and acquisitions.
