Treasury Department’s Offering of Warrants to Purchase Common Stock of Sterling Bancshares, Inc.

Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP advised Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. in connection with an SEC-registered offering by the U.S. Department of the Treasury of 2.6 million warrants to purchase common stock of Sterling Bancshares, Inc. The warrants are traded through the Nasdaq Global Select Market under the symbol “SBIBW.”

Sterling Bancshares, Inc. is a Houston-based bank holding company with total assets of $5 billion, which operates 58 banking centers in the greater metropolitan areas of Houston, San Antonio, Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas.
