Royal Bank of Canada US$1.75 Billion Notes Offering

Davis Polk advised Royal Bank of Canada Capital Markets, LLC, BNP Paribas Securities Corp. and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC as lead dealers of an SEC-registered offering by Royal Bank of Canada of US$900 million aggregate principal amount of senior floating-rate notes due 2014 and US$850 million aggregate principal amount of 2.875% senior notes due 2016 under its US$25 billion medium-term notes program.

Royal Bank of Canada is Canada’s largest bank based on assets and market capitalization, and one of the largest in the world based on market capitalization.
