Tokyo, Japan Davis Polk partners Randall Guynn and Theodore Paradise will be panelists at an upcoming conference hosted by the International Bar Association Asia Pacific Regional Forum. “Asia after the GFC – leading the global recovery” will be held on November 17-19, 2010, in Tokyo, Japan.

Guynn will speak on a panel entitled “Post GFC – Global regulatory reforms and the Asia Pacific,” which will address the rush by governments and regulators to tighten their oversight of financial and other practices as a result of the global financial crisis, and how these initiatives are changing legal and business practices in Asia and globally.

Paradise’s panel, “In-house counsel best practices on corporate governance,” will address the role of in-house counsel in making and implementing a well-organized corporate governance scheme. Panelists will also discuss best practices in corporate governance, particularly since the financial crisis.
