Matthew Lehr Named Among Top IP Litigators
4/8/2011
Davis Polk partner Matthew Lehr has been named to the Daily Journal’s 2011 list of “Top Intellectual Property Lawyers.” The list, featured in a special April 6, 2011, Intellectual Property issue of the Daily Journal, recognizes the 75 leading IP litigators and 25 leading portfolio managers and patent prosecutors in California.

Among his recent successes, Lehr obtained a victory for VNUS Medical Technologies in a patent infringement case in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California. On December 8, 2010, after five weeks of trial and four days of deliberation, a jury returned a verdict in favor of VNUS and against two of VNUS's competitors in the market for a non-surgical procedure performed to eliminate varicose veins, awarding compensatory damages in the amount of $45.8 million. The win was recently named among the top verdicts of 2010 by both The National Law Journal and Daily Journal.

A reception will be held in recognition of the honorees on April 12, 2011, in Menlo Park.
