Linda Chatman Thomsen Named Among DC’s “Women Who Mean Business”
10/11/2010
The Washington Business Journal has named Davis Polk litigation partner Linda Chatman Thomsen to its 2010 list of “Women Who Mean Business,” which honors the Washington DC region's most influential women in business. The women named to this year’s list hail from a wide range of industries and professions, and are recognized for making a difference in their communities, blazing a trail for other women and leaving a mark on Washington DC business. Thomsen was one of two private practice lawyers recognized.

Thomsen's practice focuses on the enforcement of the federal securities laws. She rejoined Davis Polk as partner in 2009, following 14 years with the Securities and Exchange Commission, where she became the first woman to run the agency’s Enforcement Division. Under Thomsen’s rein, the SEC handled more than 2,000 cases.

Thomsen and her fellow honorees will be profiled in the November 19-25, 2010 edition of the Washington Business Journal and will be recognized at an awards program on November 18, 2010, in Washington DC.
