Davis Polk litigation partner Lawrence Portnoy has been named “Litigator of the Week” by The AmLaw Litigation Daily, in connection with his lead role on behalf of Credit Suisse in its victory in a decade-long research analyst class action. On January 13, 2012, the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts granted Credit Suisse summary judgment in the case, after first precluding the testimony of the plaintiffs’ expert on causation and damages.
