Davis Polk partner Kirtee Kapoor will speak on two panels at Practising Law Institute’s “Doing Deals in Emerging Markets: BRIC and Beyond 2011” seminar. “Doing Due Diligence in BRICs” will address foreign due diligence requirements, adhering to the FCPA and uncovering traps for the unwary. Kapoor’s second panel, “Negotiating Deals in and with BRIC: Dealing with Local Market Practices, Legal Frameworks and Different Business Cultures,” will focus on adapting deal terms to local practices and issues, as well as effective negotiating strategies in cross-cultural contexts.
