The recently released Fall 2009 issue of Women Lawyers Journal, a quarterly magazine published by the National Association of Women Lawyers, features an article by Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP partner Kyoko Takahashi Lin. In the article, Lin profiles four of her fellow partners on their transition from government service to private practice. The featured partners are Kathleen L. Ferrell, former Attorney-Adviser in the Office of Tax Legislative Counsel and Special Assistant to the Assistant Secretary of Tax Policy in the Treasury Department’s Office of Tax Policy; Annette L. Nazareth, former SEC Commissioner; Jennifer G. Newstead, former General Counsel of the White House Office of Management and Budget, Associate White House Counsel, and Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice; and Linda Chatman Thomsen, who served for 14 years in the SEC’s Enforcement Division.
