Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP advised Barclays Capital Inc. and J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. as joint book-running managers on an SEC-registered offering by Fortune Brands, Inc. of $400 million principal amount of 3% notes due 2012.

Based in Deerfield, Illinois, Fortune Brands is a holding company with subsidiaries that manufacture and sell leading consumer branded products in the following industries: distilled spirits, home and hardware products and golf products. Its subsidiaries sell under global brand names including Jim Beam, Maker's Mark, Sauza, Moen, Aristokraft, Titleist, FootJoy and Pinnacle.
