Our lawyers participate in a program in which they serve as Special District Attorneys in the Appeals Bureaus of the Kings County and Queens County District Attorneys’ Offices and handle criminal appeals.

Davis Polk also takes part in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office “Partners in Prosecution” program. Every year for the past eight years, we have sent an associate to the Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office to serve as a Special District Attorney for six months. Over the years, associates participating in this program have prosecuted misdemeanor and felony crimes involving robberies, assaults, weapon and drug offenses, and attempted murder. In addition, they have visited crime scenes, and met with victims, eyewitnesses and police officers on a daily basis.
