The Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA) has awarded Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP the 2010 Thomas L. Sager Award for the Northeast Region. Named for MCCA board member and DuPont Company Senior Vice President and General Counsel Thomas L. Sager, the prestigious award is presented to a law firm that demonstrates sustained commitment to improving the hiring, retention and promotion of minority attorneys.

MCCA will honor Davis Polk and three corporate legal departments at its Northeast Region Diversity Dinner on November 10, 2010, in New York, following its 11th Annual “Creating Pathways to Diversity Conference.” Davis Polk partner and Diversity Committee member Jinsoo H. Kim will accept the award on behalf of the firm. Kim will also participate in MCCA’s “Diversity Dialogue,” a panel discussion on diversity best practices featuring the evening’s award winners.

MCCA was founded in 1997 to advance the hiring, retention, and promotion of diverse attorneys in legal departments and the law firms that serve them.
