Risk magazine has named Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP “Derivatives Law Firm of the Year,” as part of its 2011 Risk Awards. The awards recognize the institutions that have best prepared for the impending changes to the derivatives markets stemming from Dodd-Frank while continuing to provide superior derivatives and risk management services to clients.

In a profile of the firm, Risk highlights the strength of Davis Polk's derivatives and equity capital markets transactional practices, and discusses the firm's regulatory implementation work on behalf of market participants – particularly with respect to provisions related to derivatives products – as well as its involvement throughout the legislative phase of the process. Davis Polk partners Annette Nazareth and Daniel Budofsky are featured in the article, which appears in the magazine’s January 2011 issue.
