Davis Polk Elects Three New Counsel

Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP has announced that James C. O'Brien, Gerhard Radtke and Jeff Ramsay were elected counsel, effective January 1, 2010.

Mr. O’Brien is counsel in the Real Estate Group and practices in the Menlo Park office. He has substantial experience in real estate acquisitions and dispositions, real estate financing, leasing transactions and joint venture formation. He also advises clients on the real estate aspects of mergers and acquisitions and secured financing transactions. In addition to his real estate work, Mr. O’Brien has worked extensively on general corporate finance matters. Prior to moving to Menlo Park, he worked in the firm’s New York and London offices.

Mr. Radtke is counsel in the Corporate Department and works in the firm’s Hong Kong office. His practice focuses on equity, equity-linked and high-yield debt securities offerings, pre-IPO and structured investments and credit transactions. Prior to working in the Hong Kong office, he worked in the firm’s Tokyo and New York offices.

Mr. Ramsay is counsel in the Corporate Department, practicing in the Capital Markets Group in New York. He has worked on a wide variety of both public and private debt, equity and equity-linked offerings by U.S. and non-U.S. issuers, including initial public offerings and high-yield debt financings, in a range of industries. Mr. Ramsay regularly advises investment banking clients on securities law-related matters and corporate clients on general corporate matters, including corporate governance and SEC matters.
