Oil and Gas Investor magazine has awarded its Excellence Award for "M&A Deal of the Year" to ExxonMobil for its $41 billion all-stock transaction with XTO Energy Inc. A Davis Polk team led by George Bason, Louis Goldberg and Arthur Golden advised ExxonMobil on the transaction, the largest oil and gas deal in four years.

The award will be presented at Hart Energy's annual A&D Strategies and Opportunities conference. Hosted by Oil and Gas Investor magazine and A&D Watch newsletter, the event will be held on September 1-2, 2010, in Dallas, Texas.
