Davis Polk is advising EDF on its cash-and-share offer for 50% of the share capital of EDF Energies Nouvelles that it does not already hold. The transaction, announced on April 8, 2011, values EDF Energies Nouvelles at more than €3 billion.

EDF is an energy company engaged in the generation, transmission, distribution, supply and trading of energies in France and internationally. EDF Energies Nouvelles is a French market leader in renewable energy.
