Davis Polk is advising Carrefour on the total sale of its stake to its Greek partner, the Marionopoulos family, in their jointly held subsidiary.

Following the reorganization and financial restructuring, Carrefour will sell its entire stake in Carrefour-Marinopoulos, which will become the exclusive franchisee of the Carrefour brand in Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Albania and other Balkan countries. The transaction will be finalized in the coming weeks, subject to the approval of the relevant competition authorities.
