On Monday, August 3, Davis Polk hosted a webcast to discuss the FDIC's proposed private equity policy statement, the prospects for changing it and the role private equity should have in providing capital to troubled banks. The panelists included Randy Quarles of the Carlyle Group, John Douglas, former general counsel to the FDIC who has recently joined Davis Polk and Randall Guynn, head of Davis Polk's Financial Institutions Group.
