New York, NY Davis Polk partners Danforth Townley and Daniel Budofsky will be speakers at Practising Law Institute's “Hedge Funds 2010: Strategies and Structures for an Evolving Marketplace.” Townley will participate on a panel entitled, “The Changing Regulatory Framework for Hedge Funds and Managers,” which will address proposals for registration of hedge fund managers, possible systemic regulation of hedge funds, extraterriorial application of registration requirements and European hedge fund regulatory developments. Budofsky’s panel, “Hedge Fund Trading Issues,” will address restrictions on short selling; trading and clearing in derivatives by hedge funds; Section 13 and 16 Requirements and other reporting requirements; and Commodities Act developments affecting trading. Townley will also serve as Chair of the program, which will be held on October 6, 2010 in New York.
