Davis Polk lawyers Richard Sandler and Elizabeth Weinstein published a study in The Conference Board's Director Notes, entitled "Corporate Governance Practices for Initial Public Offerings in the United States." The report examines the corporate governance practices of 50 U.S. companies at the time of their IPOs, and found that pressure to update governance practices at larger companies has had only a limited effect on companies at the IPO stage.
