Annette Nazareth, a partner in Davis Polk's Washington, DC office, participated in The Wall Street Journal's inaugural "Task Force on Women in the Economy," a conference held April 4-6, 2011, which brought together more than 150 influential men and women from the public and private sectors as well as key subject matter experts to focus on women in the workforce. Ms. Nazareth co-led the working group on "Law and Professional Services," which made recommendations on how the private and public sectors can better advance opportunities for women. The working group's recommendations centered around better training and development; improved compensation systems; more collaborative relationships; and the leveraging of procurement power.
